The project aims to establish a solid foundation for a new two-year Master's program in Public Health with a strong innovative component, both in terms of content and pedagogical methods, including blended learning and e-learning, as well as the integration of theoretical and practical public health.

The new Master's program aims to meet the growing demand for public health education and professionalization that has arisen during the pandemic, during which epidemiology and public health, in general, have been at the center of unprecedented collective interest. This program aims to fill a gap in public health education in Ticino, at the national level, and in neighboring countries.

This project aims to define a new profile of 'public health professional' who can contribute substantially to correcting the deficit of necessary preparation to respond to present and future health challenges. Moreover, it aims to respond to an indirect request from the cantonal authorities, who have emphasized the need for public health education in and for Ticino.

The innovation of this two-year Master's program will be identified and defined through a participatory approach involving various stakeholders, including potential recipients of the educational offerings.
